The Alex Assoian Music Project, (AAMP), was born in 2011 to honor the memory and the musical legacy of gifted musician, artist, producer and community builder, Alex “Boogie” Assoian, who, by the age of only 23, was inspiring musicians of all ages across all music genres to find the passion in their music.
AAMP is a registered not-for-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) non-profit status. Dedicated to helping gifted young musicians achieve their musical aspirations, AAMP offers musicians an opportunity to become part of a dynamic music community and supports their education with grants for instrument rental; private instruction and professional studio recording time.
what we do
AAMP offers educational grants to emerging musicians to help support their efforts to be heard by a wider audience. We strive to improve musicianship through private instruction in instrument, voice and music theory. AAMP provides young artists with an opportunity to hone their craft in the environment of a supportive and professional music studio while fostering collaboration with their other musicians.
The Alex Assoian Music Project recognizes the importance of music and the long-lasting, positive impact it can have on a person’s life. After a successful test market in the Greater Orlando / Central Florida area, AAMP is now seeking to make the gift of music available to qualified recipients in New York metropolitan (NY; NJ, CT and PA) area by providing funding and resources to musicians and music education programs. Our grants support young musicians who show both a passion and a natural talent for music.
Since we believe that participation and service within a music community are essential ingredients in developing the next generations of artists, our goal is to encourage our grant recipients to give of their time and talents to the communities in which they live. In short, our goal is to promote the importance of music through education and to provide the financial resources to do so.
AAMP locates, nurtures and develops young musicians by providing them with financial assistance to further their musical education. Our goal is to build a music sanctuary and community where young artists can acquire the skills they need and where they can explore, compose and perform music in an unlimited variety of styles. In other words… create “genre-less” music.
